Ruslaan Mumtaz, who would be seen after Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar and Dangerous Ishq, plays the lead opposite in the film.
The film is being produced by Amrapali Media Vision, part of Amrapali Group, a real estate giant. Chetna says the film is relevant for the youngsters who fall into trouble by getting into wrong kind of relationships."The character portrays the trouble and stigma faced by MMS victims. When such news hit the headlines, it evokes interest. But rarely do we get to know how life turns upside down for the victim," Chetna tells MAIL TODAY. Written and directed by Amit Kasaria and produced by Dr Anil Kumar Sharma and Dr Pallavi Mishra, the film is set to release on May 17. It highlights a sinister side of college romance where innocent people got into a serious mess by way of MMS shot secretly.
A Dehradun girl from non-filmy, middle-class family, Chetna narrates how Ekta Kapoor was instrumental in getting her into showbiz. It was an audition call from Ekta, which made Chetna leave the MBA course she was pursuing from a Pune college."For some reasons, the Ekta Kapoor show did not work out but I could not think of anything but working in films," says Chetna, who worked in several ads and a Tamil film.
Ruslaan plays a spoilt rich brat who is never serious about relationships.
Ruslaan calls his role as a genuine portrayal of the youth.
Set against a college backdrop, many portions of the film were shot in a management institute in Ghaziabad, where the entire cast and crew was planted for a month last year. The students of Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management located in the interiors of Ghaziabad are excited about the release of the film.
Several shooting stills of the film have been uploaded on the Facebook page dedicated to the institute. Some college students also got a chance to appear in a few frames and that has added to their excitement.
