दलेर मेहंदी को दो साल की जेल

पटियाला अदालत ने शुक्रवार को दलेर मेहंदी को 2003 में अवैध रूप से लोगो को विदेश भेजने के आरोप में दोषी ठहराया और पंजाबी पॉप गायक को दो साल जेल में सजा सुनाई।

वैसे मेहंदी को सजा के एक घंटे के भीतर जमानत भी दे दी गई ।

दलेर पर अवैध रूप से "पारगमन पैसे" चार्ज करके विदेशों में लोगों को अपने मंडल के सदस्यों के रूप में छिपाने कर विदेश भेजने  का आरोप लगाया गया था।

यह आरोप लगाया गया था कि गायक और उनके भाई शमशेर सिंह ने 1 998 और 1999 में दो समूह ले गए थे, जिसमें 10 व्यक्तियों को समूह के सदस्यों के रूप में अमेरिका में ले जाया गया था और उन्हें "अवैध रूप से" उन्हें वही छोड़ दिया गया। 

दलेर पर यह भी आरोप है की वो अमेरिका की यात्रा के दौरान, सैन फ्रांसिस्को में तीन लड़कियों को भी वही "छोड़ दिया"

दोनों भाइयों ने अक्टूबर 1999 में कुछ अन्य कलाकारों की कंपनी में अमेरिका के लिए एक और दल ले गया था, जिसके दौरान न्यू जर्सी में तीन लड़कों को भी अवैध रूप से वहा पहुंचाया। 

जल्द ही पटियाला पुलिस के एक बख्शीश सिंह की दायर शिकायत पर दलेर और शमशेर के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया था। दो भाइयों के खिलाफ धोखाधड़ी के आरोपों में कम से कम 35 शिकायतें आ गईं। 

शिकायतें में  आरोप लगाया था कि दो भाइयों ने "अवैध रूप से" अमेरिका में पलायन करने में उनकी सहायता के लिए उनसे "पारगमन" का पैसा लिया था, लेकिन ऐसा करने में विफल रहे।

पटियाला पुलिस ने नई दिल्ली में कनाट प्लेस में दलेर मेहंदी के कार्यालयों पर छापा मारा था और मेहंदी भाइयों को कथित तौर पर "विदेश यात्रा व्यय" का भुगतान करने वालों की फाइल सहित अन्य दस्तावेजों को जब्त कर लिया ।

2006 में, पटियाला पुलिस ने दलेर मेहंदी को निर्दोष बताते हुए दो निर्वहन याचिकाएं दायर कीं, लेकिन अदालत ने यह पुष्टि की कि गायक पर मुकदमा चलाया जाये क्योंकि "न्यायिक फाइल पर उसके खिलाफ पर्याप्त साक्ष्य और आगे की जांच के लिए गुंजाइश" थी।

Anushka's "Pari" Banned in Pakistan

अनुष्का शर्मा अभिनीत हॉरर फिल्म "परी" को पाकिस्तान ने  बैन किया। 

विगत 15 महीनों में पाकिस्तान में बैन की गयी ये 9वीं  बॉलीवुड फिल्म होगी। पाकिस्तान के सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ़ फिल्म सेंसर ने ये कहते हुए फिल्म को बैन किया की  फिल्म का कंटेंट पाकिस्तान की जनता के लिए ठीक नहीं है। बोर्ड के अनुसार फिल्म में काला जादू दिखाया गया है, जोकि इस्लामिक सिद्धांतों के खिलाफ है। फिल्म बोर्ड ने ये भी कहा कि फिल्म की कहानी संवाद और स्क्रिप्ट इस्लामिक सिद्धांतों के अनुरूप नहीं है। इस्लाम के भीतर जादू के बारे में विभिन्न विचारधाराएं हैं। यह फिल्म काला जादू के पक्ष में दर्शकों को उत्तेजित करती है और उन विचारों को बढ़ावा देती है जो इस्लाम धर्म के विरुद्ध हैं।
इस फिल्म पर बैन लगने के साथ ही परी 9 वीं  फिल्म होगी जिसे  पाकिस्तान ने पिछले एक साल में बैन किया है। बॉलीवुड पाकिस्तान फिल्म बिज़नेस का 60 से 70 % हिस्सा कवर करता है। CBFC पाकिस्तान के अलावा वहां कुछ और बोर्ड भी है, जैसे पंजाब , सिंध बोर्ड।

अक्षय कुमार-अभिनीत फिल्म, जिसका उद्देश्य महिलाओं में  मासिक धर्म की स्वच्छता के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करना था, क्योंकि फिल्म पाकिस्तान की "परंपराओं और संस्कृति" के खिलाफ थी। इसलिए फिल्म को पाकिस्तान में बैन किया गया। 

टाइगर ज़िंदा है (दिसंबर  2017  )

हालांकि सलमान खान के पाकिस्तान में बहुत ज्यादा प्रसंशक है , हालांकि उनकी फिल्म फिल्म टाइगर जिंदा है पर राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और कानून प्रवर्तन संस्थानों, एजेंसियों, लोगों को दिखाए जाने के लिए इसपर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया था। इसकी प्रीक्वेल एक था टाइगर (2012) भी पाकिस्तान में रिलीज़ नहीं हुई थी।

जिन्ना के कथित रूप से गलत बयानों के लिए पाकिस्तान में इस गुरिंदर चड्ढा फिल्म पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया था।

Tubelight (June, 2017)

इस फिल्म पर पाकिस्तान ने बिलकुल अलग ही बैन लगाया।  जैसाकि हम सब जानते हैं कि इस फिल्म को ईद पर रिलीज़ किया गया था।  पाकिस्तान ने इस फिल्म को इसलिए रिलीज़ नहीं किया क्योकि उसी वक़्त पाकिस्तान की लोकल फिल्म को बढ़ावा देना चाहते थे।  पाकिस्तान फिल्म इंड्रस्टी को यह पता था कि सलमान की इस फिल्म का उनके लोकल फिल्म के बिज़नेस पर बहुत प्रभाव पड़ेगा। 

नाम शबाना (मार्च 2017 )

फिल्म को शुरू में कुछ कट्स  के साथ जारी होने की अनुमति दी गई थी। लेकिन इस्लामाबाद में एक थियेटर में कट्स  किए बिना दिखाया गया था, फिल्म को पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया क्योंकि आतंकवाद के कुछ संदर्भ थे।

यह एक न्यायिक व्यंग ड्रामा था जिसमे अक्षय ने वकील की भूमिका अदा की थी।  फिल्म में एक कश्मीरी पर आतंकवादी होने का इलज़ाम था , पर वह निर्दोष था और दोषी उत्तर प्रदेश में था। 

Raees (January, 2017)

इस फिल्म में शाहरुख़ खान ने रईस आलम नाम का किरदार निभाया था।  रईस एक एक  मुस्लिम माफिया था, जोकि गुजरात में शराब का अवैध बिज़नेस करता था। 

Dangal (December, 2016)

दंगल फिल्म को पाकिस्तान में सेंसर बोर्ड ने दो वजह से रिलीज़ नहीं किया, एक भारतीय झंडा और दूसरा भारत का राष्ट्रगान। पाकिस्तान सेंसर बोर्ड इन दो सीन को एडिट करना चाहत थी। अभिनेता-निर्माता आमिर खान ने पाकिस्तान में फिल्म को रिलीज़ न करने का फैसला किया।

वही दूसरी तरफ अनुष्का की नयी रिलीज़ फिल्म "परी " जो की पिछले २ मार्च को रिलीज़ हुई | इस फिल्म ने भी शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए, पहले २ दिनों में 9.83 करोड़ रुपये की कमाई की। 

नयी फिल्म " परी " जोकि परितोष रॉय द्वारा डायरेक्ट की गयी पहली फिल्म है। यह एक हॉरर थ्रिलर फिल्म है जिसमे अनुष्का लीड रोल में हैं। 

यह फिल्म एक मिथिकल स्टोरी है जिसमे  एक जिन्न जिसका नाम इफरित है, उस पर आधारित है।  जिन्न इस कहानी में अपने कबीले का विस्तार करना चाहता है।  

 इस सप्ताह की बड़ी रिलीज़ होने के नाते इस  फिल्म की तुलना पिछले सप्ताह रिलीज़ हुई लव रंजन की फिल्म "सोनू के टीटू की स्वीटी " से किया जा रहा है। लव रंजन द्वारा निर्देशित इस फिल्म को पहले ही हिट घोषित किया जा चूका है।

his intentionally harebrained sequel sees the Deols reprise their characters from the 2011 hit, but the laughs are fewer this time around because the novelty's worn off and a strong sense of déjà vu hangs over the film. Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' isn't all bad, but at 2 hours and 35 minutes it's overlong and repetitive, and doesn't offer anything particularly original or inventive in terms of comedy. I'm going with two out of five. It's a pity the jokes run out faster than your popcorn does.

One expects YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA-2 to be a roller coaster ride from commencement to conclusion. The writer runs his imagination wild and laces episodes that are wacky and ludicrous, but stretches it too much this time. The problem is that the writer tries to cram too much into one film, but the episodes lack the power to grip you. Sure, the writer and director know who the target audience is, but the fun quotient that you expect from the film is missing. On the whole, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA-2 rides on the star power of the Deols and of course, its brand. That may attract the spectators initially. But, eventually, it's the content that does the talking and in this case, the lackluster script plays a spoilsport!

I’m not even going to attempt at recounting the plot because there isn’t any. The Deols – Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby – and director Sangeeth Sivan are attempting here to create an entertainer. Which means, anything goes. Even the collective charm of the Deols can’t make this drivel palatable. I’m going with one and a half stars for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. It’s exhausting, loud and so cheerfully moronic that it hurts.

For the assemblage of talent on this enterprise and their philistine outlook, their contemplation and subsequent visualization of ideas on art (for example they often confused Expressionism with Dadaism) and cinema (self-referential meta dialogue abound, e.g. Bobby telling his father, "Dharam tu kamina hai.") is rather odious, but of course one must interpret this as a reflection of a similar malaise in society and I reckon that is the implication of the film which in itself is a reflection of the abhorrence of form and intellect.

Calling Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 a joke would amount to a compliment.   And I am in no mood to extend such courtesy.  The purported comedy with a little less than half a dozen Deols on board -- Dharmendra , sons Sunny and Bobby, daughter-in-law Lynda (it’s her story) and grandson Karan (as assistant director) is a 155-minute long giant bore.  But the sequel, directed by Sangeeth Sivan, is unimaginably insipid and tedious.  There are, I counted, three witty (read mildly funny) lines in all of YPD2. And there’s a good chance, you’ve heard all three (featuring Dharmendra, of course) in the promo.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is much worse than brain-numbing. The screenplay jumbles up a few songs, some action scenes and a string of vapid comic gags and then dumps it all into a messy mix that makes about as much sense as Garam Dharam’s pow-wows with the mute ape.You’ve got to be yamla, pagla or deewana, preferably all three, to grasp what is going on. Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 runs for 155 minutes and its attempts to pass off lunacy as a humour simply do not have the force to hold such a long film together.

The film is designed as a comedy but the tragedy is that it hardly has any comic scenes which can make the audience laugh. Sangeeth Sivan’s direction is outright silly.On the whole, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is a dull comedy show and will, therefore, meet with a tragic outcome at the ticket windows. The producers have made a neat profit after selling off the worldwide theatrical rights, satellite rightsand other rights and also thanks to the subsidy they will receive from the UK government, but the worldwide distributors will not be lucky enough to cover their costs.

A plot that should shame a wafer by its thinness. Random characters popping in and out. And the only thing one can say in its favour is that it is not as terrible as the first. And that's because this one is not as shrieky or loud, not all the time. And it has one laugh-out-loud, near-brilliant gag. But it is Dharmendra who is much less of a hoot than he can be: every time I see him deadpan to such little effect, I flash to the kind of effortless comic timing he has shown in the past.

The Deols made Yamla Pagla Deewana watchable because we bought their tomfoolery and goofiness that seemed enjoyable and natural. But the second part is laced with so many ridiculous moments, dialogues, sketchy characters and unflattering camera angles that you hope the family has a better hold of the franchise the next time around. Neither funny, nor witty, YPD2 looks dated and feels half-hearted in its attempt to cater to the family audience. They definitely deserved so much more!

What’s Good: Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is loaded with excerpts from Dabangg Khan’s demeanor and mannerisms. Plus, there is an interesting Orangutan’s revelry which does tickle you right! What’s Bad: With the main con story diversifying into too many sub plots, this one is an extremely tedious. Watch or Not?: YPD 2 is nothing like its prequel. In keeping with its earlier theme, the film fails to spark off a rollicking camaraderie like its last part. The beating around the bush excitement makes it feel too over stretched! Barely managing to squeeze out a few laughs, YPD 2 in the end is an unimpressive slackened show. Do give this one a miss, it is for the better!

Addressing his film as ‘over-the-top comedy’, filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan, prior to the release of the film, had said, “If you are a reviewer or a critic who doesn`t like over-the-top films then don’t review it. You will put your sensibilities into it and it is not meant for you.” Alas! Even mindless comedy should have the potential to tickle one’s funny bone, isn’t it? Had the director been equipped with a much better script, he could have perhaps treated a nonsensical film with élan. But something somewhere has certainly gone terribly awry.‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ has action aplenty but terribly fails to impress. To sum it up, the first franchise ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ is a much better watch.

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan commits suicide

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Jiah Khan has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence, police said.

The 25-year-old actor reportedly hanged herself at her Juhu residence. Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya recently.

"She had been depressed for some time due to personal issues, but was keen on returning to acting soon. She was also meeting filmmakers regarding projects," sources close to the actress said.

According to the police her maid, watchman and neighbours are being interrogated to find out her last visitors. Police sources said that the incident happened at about 11pm and no suicide note was found. The body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

Also known by the name Nafisa Khan, the actress made her Hindi film debut in 2007 opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the controversial Nishabd. She also acted opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Housefull. She also got a Filmfare Best Debutant Nomination.

Tanuj Garg of Balaji telefilms and friend of Jiah said, "We knew each other socially and often discussed our London connection. She was a soft-spoken, sweet and a pleasant individual. Truly shocked at the news!"

Amitabh Bachchan, who heard of the news online tweeted, "-WHAT ...!!! Jiah Khan ??? what has happened ? is this correct ? unbelievable !!!"

Jiah had a fortnight back tweeted, "So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts."

Actress Madhuri Dixit, who will be seen in two upcoming Hindi films, is happy to work with a new crop of talented actors and says she has been working in Bollywood as per her own plan.

Madhuri is set to stage a comeback in Bollywood after a gap of six years with two projects - Vishal Bharadwaj's home production Dedh Ishqiya and Anubhav Sinha-produced Gulab Gang.

She has also done an item song in Karan Johar's home production Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which released today.

"I don't why people call it a comeback... It is a mystery to me. Everyone works according to their plan. The vibe from industry people is positive... People love me and are waiting to see ,Gulab Gang and Dedh Ishqiya," Madhuri told.

After her marriage in 1999 to a US-based surgeon, she did Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas in 2002. She then took a break and staged a comeback with Aditya Chopra's home production Aaja Nachle in 2007.

Despite missing from the silver screen, the 46-year-old filmstar was very much present on small screen. She appeared as one of the judges in TV dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in season four and five. She will be again judging the show in its sixth edition that starts from June 1.

After marriage, Madhuri relocated to US for almost a decade. But in 2011, she shifted her base back to Mumbai along with her family.

Gulab Gang, directed by newcomer Soumik Sen, also stars Juhi Chawla, Mahie Gill, Shilpa Shukla and others.

"I have done everything in this film - fight scene, dancing and singing. It is an entertaining film. We are saying quite a few things through this film but in an entertaining way. It is not a heavy film which delivers sermons. It was good working with a new crop of actors. They were full of energy, have ideas and are confident. It was wonderful working with talented actors," she added.

In the late 1980s and early 90s, Madhuri and Juhi Chawla were considered on-screen competitors. But now, they are working together on Gulab Gang, loosely based on a group of women fighting against social injustice.

"I have worked with Juhi for the first time (in this film) and she is a wonderful co-star. We have some niceinteresting scenes together," Madhuri said.

For Gulab Gang, Madhuri did sing a few lines with her mother Snehlata. "They wanted a voice for a particular sequence, not a proper song. With a couple of instruments playing in the background, they wanted the actress (Madhuri) to break into a song. They wanted to make it realistic, so when the director asked me, I thought about it and agreed." Madhuri said the artistic talent in her is because of her mother, who has interest in music.

"My mother couldn't learn dance but made her daughters learn it. We got those things from her. I took her aside and asked her to sing one line for me (for 'Gulab Gang' song). She sang and I was like "mom you have made your debut at 80," she said. Her other project is Dedh Ishqiya, directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The first part (Ishqiya in 2010) got rave reviews and healthy box office collections.

For the sequel the makers have retained lead actors Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. Madhuri is expecting positive response to the sequel as well.

Writer-director Prem Raj (formerly Prem Soni, who helmed that forgettable Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Main Aur Mrs Khanna) piles on the clichés, slipping into a quicksand of regressive ideas and over-familiar stereotypes. The film becomes increasingly soppy in its second half, but never in a way that you truly care for its characters. And how can you anyway? Ishkq in Paris is a misguided, overwrought affair that feels way longer than its 96 minutes. I’m going with one-and-a-half out of five. Watch it if you can muster up the courage.

What goes in favor of ISHKQ IN PARIS is the vibe and the chemistry between its lead actors. The love story has its moments, the humor is subtle and believable. On the flip side, the writing meanders from stimulating to wishy-washy. There are times when the film tries to be different from movies of its ilk, but doesn't really thrive. Sure, it begins with a bang, but it continues to taper as it moves forward. The director uses melodrama to depict anxiety and trauma, but the trouble is, haven't we watched it all in movies earlier? On the whole, ISHKQ IN PARIS is a decent fare, but its fate depends on word of mouth completely, for the film to carve a niche for itself. The delay in release [the promos had been on air for quite some time] coupled with lack of strong face-value might mar its prospects!

The problem with Ishqk in Paris is that it is too convenient a love story and ends on a faux note that is simply not who the characters are no matter how much the circumstances might've changed overnight for them. It is a lamentable moment for Priety Zinta, now in her twilight years as a lead actress in an ageist, unkind industry, that she has to choose a path of safety and ends up with a movie that needs a Salman Khan item. This film could've been so much more honest, real, gritty even. That would've been a worthy, valiant last stand.

When your patience starts to wear thin, you're told the reason why the beautiful Ishkq is against commitment is because her French mother Marie (Isabella Adjani) has been ditched by her Indian father (Shekhar Kapur) when she was just seven. This Indo-French girl therefore lives in a cocoon; hates marriage and fears divorce. Preity Zinta's maiden production has its aesthetics in place. Paris is enchanting. The actress is good but there ends the show.

Maria, while beautiful, is clearly a hack, for the love story she describes is so unbearably generic that the script could have been assembled by putting together the outtakes from any number of romantic movies. Textbook, truly.Ah, but even this hunk-less hunky-dory state can’t last forever. In a laughably bad heel turn, the hero goes from sap to scumbag in the space of one scene, going from cooing to cursing and berating the heroine’s family. “This is a rubbish love story,” Zinta says in the film’s most honest, self-aware moment. “I need a drink.”Ditto, miss. And you best be buying.

This is Preity Zinta's own production, and she could have created for herself a character that would have hewed closer to where she is right now. There are moments where you feel she was ready for it, and then the desperate-to-come-off-winsome-yet-vulnerable character takes over. So does the mandatory item number, featuring the one and only Salman Khan, whose moves could have been better. Just like the film.

Ishkq works in the first half with lighthearted repartee between the lead actors. The stand up act where they mimic their first date is witty and entertaining. So are some of the pick up lines and dialogues. But the second half and the climax are so predictable that you know the end before the supposed 'change of heart' rolls in. Watch Ishkq if you are a die-hard PZ fan. Otherwise rent the Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy starrer Before Sunrise and experience the true essence of an European setting for a romantic film.

The story fails to involve the audience as the two friends behave like one-day friends and refrain themselves from getting attracted to one another, physically or otherwise. Even the comedy between Ishkq and Akash is more in dialogues and that intermittent comedy will also appeal only to the class audience. The characters of Ishkq and Akash are so unbelievable and plastic that the audience fails to connect with them.On the whole, Ishkq In Paris is a dull love story which will fail miserably at the box-office and not only because of the dull promotion and poor initial.

Preity, Paris and Prem Raj whip up a souffle romance. Fresh, frothy feel good and, yes, look good, and with a solid undercurrent of emotional frisson to guide the love story to its heart-warming culmination Ishkq In Paris makes you thankful for that thing called love. The tone of narration is unmistakably European. Welcome back, Preity. And yes, bon appetite to all moviegoers. Go, tuck in.

What’s Good: Romantic Comedies are warm and fuzzy. What’s Bad: An overstretched story invokes a grumbling effect for the entire second part. Watch or Not?: Though I swear by romantic comedies, Ishkq In Paris did not leave a fulfilling impact on me. Despite crisp editing, it is the loose plot, not so compelling story and mostly the unconvincing chemistry which are the film’s primary drawbacks. Unless you are Priety Zinta fan, you can easily give this one a miss!
